The first time we met, we argued. The confrontation happened in Town Hall in 1997 when I interupted Steve mid-rant with the words “No, you’re wrong!” Spinning around to face me, he replied with his famous tone, “And you are?” What followed was an animated verbal joust for five minutes infront of a roomful of people who watched in amazement as I appeared to be committing employment suicide. Yet, I survived the episode, and gained a measure of his trust in standing up to him. However, he got even with me by always calling me “Sol” no matter how many times he was corrected by others. But I was OK with that, Steve could call me whatever he wanted. Peace and Blessings SJ.— SAL
